Accouting

Setting up a call accounting system is complex and laborious. Phone2Bridge decided to simplify this task. You should only register the rates and basic information directly from the trunk.

Some Telecom companies have plans which on-net calls are not charged. So, the call accounting system should not take in account the costs for this calls. Phone2Bridge has this feature.

In order to provide a cost accounting with values closer to the phone bill that the telecom operator presents, Phone2Bridge relies on the ability of granularity, which is the configuration of how the operator will charge the minutes of the calls. For example, if the granularity of an telecom company is 3/60/6, means that:

    Example of a call charge

Another easier example is, if an operator has granularity of 3/60/60, and the connection last 1:10, it will charge for 2 minutes of connections, because the division of granularity for the second connection is 60 seconds.

Time in seconds to start charging the call. So, if the connection is less than 3 seconds, will not be for free.
Corresponds to beginning of charge. At this case, it will occur every 60 seconds. If the call lasts 40 seconds, the telecom company will charge 60 seconds.
It corresponds, in seconds, howthe call will be divided after the first charge. In the example above, if the call lasts 1:15, will be charged as follows:
60 first seconds
Divide the remainder (15 seconds) by 6 and round up. That is, 15 / 6 = 2.5, rounded up we get 3, which should be multiplied by 6, up to 18 seconds. In other words, this call would have been charged in 1:18.
